By 2020 we may not have flying cars , But we have successfully launched a Car in SPACE.
Elon Musk's Tesla Roadster is an electric sports, which was launched by spacex in Falcon Heavy FH-001 and became the artificial satellite of the sun. "Starman", a mannequin dressed in a spacesuit, occupies the driver's seat. it was launched on February 6 2018.

 The car, mounted on the rocket's second stage, acquired enough 
velocity to escape Earth's gravity and enter an elliptical heliocentric orbit crossing the orbit of Mars.

 The orbit reaches a maximum distance from the Sun at aphelion of 1.66 astronomical units (au). 

moving at the speed of  4,698 mi/h it passes sun after every 1.5 years.
